INVERNESS 2018
After the success of our residency in 2016, the Inverness County Centre for the Arts invited us to return to Inverness and spend a full month long residency at their centre. This time, the goal was to fill up their entire huge main gallery space. We finished approximately 50 new works during this very productive month of July and the exhibition Shared Energies: Momentum was on display August 3rd – September 3rd. See more here.
PRINCETON 2017
In 2017, the Arts Council of Princeton invited us to the Paul Robeson Centre for the Arts in Princeton, New Jersey to do an artist residency in their Taplin Gallery for the month of April. Through the Anne Reeves Artist Residency Award most of our project expenses were paid for and we spent one month creating 4 new large works as well as numerous smaller pieces. We turned the Taplin Gallery into our studio space and had numerous visitors throughout the month. In May, a month long exhibition opened in the same Gallery space and we held an artist talk to kick things off as well. See more here.
INVERNESS 2016
In 2016, we were invited to the Inverness County Centre for the Arts in Inverness, Nova Scotia for a week long residency. This short stay was an excellent jumping off point for the project. We taught two workshops (link) about collaboration and spent day + night in the studio producing the first two large works of our collaboration. This residency was followed by a month long exhibition in the hallway gallery. See more here.
